A WOMAN has been charged with 12 counts of assault by beating at a hospital.
Danielle Walker is charged with assaulting staff at Whorlton Hall Hospital in Whorlton, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, between October 2013 and May this year.
The 25-year-old remains a patient at the hospital, which cares for people with learning difficulties and complex needs, including mental health problems.
She was excused attendance from a court hearing at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, October 22) but her solicitor, Carl Swift, entered guilty pleas to all 12 charges on her behalf.
District judge Martin Walker adjourned the case until Wednesday, November 19, for probation reports.
